Studio story

A shared studio in Georgetown, Seattle, a secondhand kiln named Big Blue, and a lot of mugs.

Linh painting a small cup at her table in the shared studio

Hi, I am Linh. I make the pots, pack the boxes and answer every Etsy message myself.

My grandmother kept her rice in a chipped blue jar that came with her from Hội An. I think about that jar every time I glaze something. Good pots are for using every day, for years, and they get better with a chip or two.

I started with a weekend class in 2016 and never stopped. Today I work three days a week at the wheel and two days glazing, photographing and shipping. Most of my glazes are mixed from scratch and named after the water around Seattle.
